Or is there nothing like the real thing?

Every few years, classic Hitchcock movies are remade, and while it's debatable as to whether they'll ever stack up to the original masterpieces, it's hard to not get excited about the latest iteration of the Hitchcockian leading lady.

In the latest round of remakes, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel both star in the upcoming film "Hitchcock," which takes a close look at the famed director's life during the time he was shooting 1960's "Psycho." Biel transforms into Vera Miles, while ScarJo takes on the role of Janet Leigh, both female stars of the film. Meanwhile, Sienna Miller is set to portray "The Birds" leading lady Tippi Hedren in the new HBO movie "The Girl." (Though Hedren herself admitted to being apprehensive about the film's depiction of her life.)

We're a nostalgic bunch around here, so of course we're taking the opportunity to look back at some of the seriously inspiring women from the Hitchcock heyday, as well as the ones who would later reenact those great roles. (Apparently, 1998 was a big year for Hitchcock remakes, with Gwyneth Paltrow in "A Perfect Murder," Daryl Hannah in "Rear Window" and Anne Heche in "Psycho"). See all those actresses and more in the slideshow below, and vote for your favorite leading lady -- past or present.
