San Diego State Freshman Carl Horlbeck picked up a new Toyota Tacoma when he sunk a half-court shot at "Midnight At The Mesa," which tips-off the school basketball season each year, according to CBS 8.
The video above says it all. Carl looked collected when he measured up the shot before sending it through the rim with swish no one heard but everyone saw. Horlbeck was nearly tackled by athletes and fans rushing to congratulate him.
According to Yahoo! Sports, San Diego State coach Steve Fisher jokingly said he had a scholarship available for Horlbeck to reporters. The catch: the freshman would have to give the truck back to use it.
The AP reports that the Aztecs return four of their five starters after reaching the NCAA tournament for the third straight season starting the season anew with three Division I transfers and three freshmen.
