November is shaping up to be a colorful month for the newsstand. A number of our favorite black Hollywood stars have landed on the cover of some major mainstream magazines.
We've already gushed about Octavia Spencer gracing ELLE's "Women In Hollywood" cover; Rihanna snagging Vogue's coveted cover for the second time; and Solange Knowles striking a pose for ELLE South Africa. That's a whole lot of color and it's not even Black History Month!
But wait, there's more...
"Cloud Atlas" actress Halle Berry sizzles in a cutout dress on the cover of InStyle this month, while Gabrielle Union is picture perfect for People Style Watch. The ladies didn't hog all the cover action, however--Tyler Perry was tapped by Men's Health for its November 2012 issue. The director dropped 30 pounds for his leading role in "Alex Cross" and proudly shows off this newly fit physique in a tight black tee for the glossy.
When you add all those amazing covers to this month's black magazine standbys-- EBONY (Michelle and Barack Obama graces its cover) and Essence (Tyler Perry, again)--you've got yourself one of the most diverse newsstands we've ever seen.
