Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are a couple once again, but time has not yet healed all wounds.
RadarOnline reports that the 22-year-old actress is desperately trying to get the relationship back to the way things were before she cheated on him with Rupert Sanders, but Pattinson doesn't want to rush into things.
“Kristen is working hard to try and force the relationship into what it was before, but the truth is, she’s going to have to take it slowly with Robert because he’s still having trouble trusting her again," a source told the website, adding that it's difficult for him just to carry on as if nothing happened.
"The problem is, he can’t forget her infidelity. Kristen claims that she never actually slept with Rupert Sanders, but Robert still has that nagging feeling of doubt that she did," the source explained.
Stewart is trying to convince the 26-year-old actor that he can trust her again, but she might want to make sure she's not smothering him. The actress purchased a $2.2 million home about a mile away from Pattinson, soon after her cheating scandal went public, reports the Los Angeles Times.
The couple was recently spotted together cuddling outside of Ye Rustic Inn in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, and was spotted again grabbing lunch at a Mexican cantina, but the couple's sleeping arrangements for their upcoming worldwide promotional tour for "Breaking Dawn: Part 2" offer more proof that Pattinson wants to take it slowly.
RadarOnline also reported that the couple had been booked in separate hotel rooms by the executives at Summit Entertainment, just in case the relationship fizzled out before the end of the tour.
Apparently the studio execs aren't the only ones doubting the relationship. On Wednesday, Donald Trump decided to let the world know his stance on the "Robsten" reconciliation:
"Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again--just watch. He can do much better!" he tweeted.
