Florida's Most Wasteful Government Spending In 2012 According Tom Coburn's 'Wastebook' Report (PHOTOS)

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) has released his annual "Wastebook" report, highlighting extravagant government spending in 2012 -- and of course, Florida shows up on the list with some of the country's wackiest financial antics.

Listing his top 100 instances of wasted American tax dollars, the Oklahoma doctor prescribes America a diet from the "'let them eat caviar' attitude in Washington." Coburn points out gluttonous discrepancies ranging from $1 million spent by NASA on Martian food testing to $345,000 to fund robotic squirrels. There's even talking urinal cakes (way to go, Detroit!).

So how does the Sunshine State fare in the senator's write-up? A food stamp-collecting South Florida stripper who earned almost a 6-figure income and $600,000 in Miami school vending machines are just the tip of the iceberg.
