Funeral services will be held on Friday for a 24-year-old man who died after collapsing at a California Borough bar last week.

Dimetrius Daunte' Williams, 24, of Brownsville, fell from a bar stool at McMonagles Bar on Union Street around 11:15 p.m. Oct. 12.

Borough police found Williams passed out and patrons trying to revive him, according to a news release.

Williams was taken to Mon Valley Hospital in Carroll, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Washington County coroner said an investigation is pending and that a cause or manner of death has not been determined.

Williams was a 2007 graduate of Brownsville Area Senior High School and was studying graphic design at California University of Pennsylvania, according to his obituary.

He was an accomplished high school football player. Twice in 2005, he was named "Player of the Game," and in 2005 and 2006 he received the FCCA All County Award.

In 2006, he was chosen to play for the Interstate Football Conference in the 2006 WPIAL AA All Star Game.

Friends expressed their grief on Facebook, calling Williams a "brother" and "best friend."

One person wrote, "The good do die young. Rest in peace."

Another wrote, "I miss you bro, never forgotten. RIP Dimetrius Williams."

Survivors include his parents, Georgette Edwards and David Williams; his fiancee, Kristin Borowitz, and daughter, Kyrah Williams, all of Brownsville.
