Kathie Lee Gifford Drops Puppy On 'Today' Show, But Dog Finds Safe Home

Kathie Lee Gifford was “a wreck” after she dropped a puppy on live TV, but now is thrilled to learn that the little fella has finally found a family of his own.

“He obviously didn’t want to go home with me,” Gifford said, when she found out the dog had been adopted. “I’m so glad he found a happy home.”

A spokeswoman from the North Shore Animal League, the world’s largest no-kill animal and adoption organization, confirmed that the dog was doing fine after the accident and has found a great new home.

"I have realized what the problem was. The problem was that dog did not want to go home with Hoda," Gifford joked about her "Today" show co-host after the incident. “He knows Hoda was looking to adopt a dog, he knows what her apartment's like.”

However, the best response to the incident may have been from Al Roker, who said, "Kathie Lee dropped her like a boxed wine."
