Daniel Ellsberg: Obama The Lesser of Two Evils

"A tool of Wall Street, a man who's decriminalized torture and is still complicit in it, a drone assassin, someone who's launched an unconstitutional war, supports kidnapping and indefinite detention without trial, and has prosecuted more whistleblowers like myself than all previous presidents put together."

That's how Daniel Ellsberg, the famed whistleblower and anti-war activist, referred to President Obama in a recent HuffPost blog post on the president and progressive voters in the crucial swing states that will decide the election two weeks from today. But despite his distaste for the president, Ellsberg urges swing-state voters to choose Obama on Election Day.

Are the anti-war/anti-Wall Street progressives who vote for Obama unprincipled? Or are progressives who refuse to vote for President Obama risking placing the presidency and the Supreme Court in the hands of the Republicans?

Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg joined me Tuesday to discuss these topics and more on HuffPost Live along with community members, Ben Manski, a Green Party activist and attorney, Emily Hauser, a Blogger at The Daily Beast, and Matt Stoller, a blogger and fellow at The Roosevelt Institute.
