Lost Elmo Doll Goes For A 'Vacation' At The Ritz-Carlton (VIDEO)

WATCH: Ritz-Carlton's Adorable Surprise For Little Girl Who Lost Elmo Doll

When a little girl lost her Elmo doll at a Ritz-Carlton earlier this month, she wasn't quite expecting him to come back with a detailed diary of his travels.

According to WKMG, 5-year-old Ainsley, an Orlando native, lost a stuffed Elmo toy while on vacation recently at the Amelia Island Ritz-Carlton.

Ainsley's family had given up on being reunited with toy. But Ritz employee Nelson Quesada found Elmo -- who has been with Ainsley since she was a baby -- and decided to give him a little "vacation."

Quesada took pictures of Elmo all around the beach resort -- working out at the fitness center, by the indoor pool, cooking with the chefs, hanging out with other stuff toys -- and then made a book out of the pictures, which he sent to Ainsley along with the doll.

"Nobody goes above and beyond anymore in this high tech world," said Ainsley's mother, Raquel Giorgio. "And this guy, Nelson, at the Ritz, not only returned Elmo to us, and actually found him, but made a book that Ainsley will have for the rest of her life."

This particular Ritz actually has something of a reputation as far as missing toys are concerned. The hotel's Loss Prevention Team created a similar book for another child -- a boy named Reilly who had left behind a stuffed giraffe called Joshie.

The boy's father, Chris Hurn, wrote that he was amazed when the staff at the hotel shipped the animal, along with an assortment of Ritz goodies, and a book detailing the giraffe's unexpectedly extended stay.

"Needless to say, my wife and I were completely wowed by the Ritz-Carlton Loss Prevention Team," Hurn wrote. "My son, on the other hand, didn't care so much about the binder and was just happy to have his Joshie back. I'm sure he'll have a greater appreciation for it as he grows up."
