Minnesota Polls 2012: Closing Time, Opening Time, And Where To Vote

It's that time, Minnesota. Here's what you need to know to vote in your state on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

The closing time for Minnesota polls is 8 p.m. Central Time. The opening time for most Minnesota polls is 7 a.m. local time, though some municipalities open as late as 10 a.m., so it's worth checking with your polling place ahead of time.

Not sure where to vote? The website of Minnesota's Secretary of State has set up a Polling Place Finder.

Minnesota has 10 electoral votes in play in the presidential race. The state has voted for the Democratic presidential candidate every year since 1976.

Barack Obama is likely to win the state, though just a week ago the Washington Post noted that Mitt Romney was within the margin of error in polls.
