Many rejoiced at the first signs of snow this season, although many more were still in harm's way after Hurricane Sandy caused devastation for the Northeast.
Snowfall from the nor'easter isn't the first of the season for everyone in the east, however. Along with devastation to coastal areas in the East, Sandy also brought several feet of snow to West Virginia. Some areas also saw drifts four to six feet high.
