For Christmas this year, all one Georgia man wanted was for his girlfriend to say "yes" to his marriage proposal. So he got Santa to help him pop the question.
Tallahasee, Florida, television station WCTV reported Monday that Steven Humphries wanted to propose to girlfriend Alexis Washington, so he asked his mother for some ideas. She suggested having Santa surprise Washington with a ring.
Humphries arranged for Santa to offer Washington the ring while the two were shopping for a tree at the local Christmas tree farm. Once Santa had presented the ring, Humphries got down on one knee and asked the big question.
Washington said "yes," and that she wouldn't kill Humphries for putting her on the spot -- yet.
"Not with his momma right there," she said. Watch the video above to see more.
Santa has been enlisted to help orchestrate marriage proposals before. In 2010, he told a woman she had "been very good this year" before handing her a ring.
