Emerito Pujol Allegedly Impersonates Federal Officer To Get Into Epcot, Disney World Free

Looks like his dreams didn't come true.

Professional photographer Emerito Pujol was arrested after allegedly pretending to be a federal officer in an attempt to get into Disney World's Epcot Center for free, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Police say the 74-year-old showed an Epcot staff member a fake badge while walking through the turnstiles around noon on Saturday. The employee asked to take a closer look at the badge, and Pujol allegedly told him he was an undercover officer searching for someone.

A security officer got involved, Pujol changed his tune, according to WESH. He told the officer he was in the midst "guarding someone important," according to the arrest report. When a deputy was called to the scene, Pujol allegedly admitted that he was just trying to avoid paying the $94.79 cost of getting into Epcot.

The badge he had initially produced stated that the carrier was an "honorary member" of the American Federation of Police. The AFP is a nonprofit organization.

The man is facing a felony charge of impersonating a law enforcement officer.
