No matter what the result is at the final buzzer, it's not often that LeBron James gets shown up on the highlight reel. But that was the case on Sunday when Miami got blown out by Memphis. Not only did Rudy Gay provide the highlight of the night, he did it at James' expense.
With a little trickery and some quick timing, Gay fooled James as he drove to the net after unleashing a behind-the-back crossover. Once he made his way into the paint, Gay took flight and hammered home a forceful dunk that left Chris Bosh scratching his head and the announcer stunned.
"Rudy Gay took LeBron James to school!"
The crowd at Fed Ex Forum echoed that same sentiment as they jumped up from their seats to celebrate the forward's monster slam. Gay finished the game with 21 points and eight rebounds, as the team went on to win their fifth straight.
