Help! My 13-Year-Old Daughter Is Cutting Herself! From Dr. Gail Saltz (WATCH)

If your child is cutting, they must get a psychiatric evaluation. When psychiatrist Dr. Gail Saltz visited me on Mondays With Marlo, she explained that cutting can be a result of depression or anxiety, which are both common in teens. Unfortunately, if you don't address the matter, your child could accidentally hit an artery or a vessel while cutting and put their life at risk. Anxiety and depression are very treatable, so it's best to tackle this problem as soon as possible.
