Marion Cotillard Gets Handsy On The Cover Of W Magazine (PHOTO)

Also: is that an Amelie-esque hairdo we spy?

W Magazine isn't known for fluffy, crowd-pleasing covers. They've turned Jessica Biel into a steamy vixen, Kate Moss into a nun and Tom Cruise into a... well, let's just try to forget that one. Per tradition, their latest cover definitely requires a second glance.

For the December 2012 issue, the high-fashion glossy tapped Marion Cotillard to pose on the cover and in an accompanying editorial entitled "Red Hot." The French actress stuns in an avant garde getup, complete with an architectural red coat, a single red leather glove and one of the tiniest metallic belts we've ever seen. (Also, is that an Amelie-esque hairdo we spy?)

But things aren't exactly what they seem. The Tim Walker-lensed shot features the "Midnight In Paris" star with a few extra hands groping her items of clothing alongside the headline "Hands-On Fashion" -- no doubt a cheeky touch dreamed up by Walker's always-vivid imagination.

So what do you think of W Magazine's latest newsstand eye-catching technique? Check out the photo of the cover in question and tell us if you'll be picking up the mag.
