Lindsay Lohan is on the promotional tour for her Elizabeth Taylor biopic "Liz & Dick." She dropped by "The Tonight Show," and while there she addressed her reasons for bailing on her scheduled interview with Barbara Walters on "The View." Well, sort of.
"The timing wasn’t right right now," Lohan said. "I love her. I’m a big fan of Barbara Walters. I met her when I was very young. And so, when it’s right, she knows she’ll be the first person I sit down with."
So she didn't really give much of a reason, nor has she talked to Walters directly about it. Speculation was that her new PR team feared Walters would ask probing questions about the starlet's ongoing legal troubles and family drama.
Lohan may be on the cusp of facing even more uncomfortable questions, as "Liz & Dick" was reviewed by The Hollywood Reporter a "must watch" movie for "all the wrong reasons." At least promotional tours are usually over once the movie is released.
"Liz & Dick" premieres on Lifetime on Sunday, November 25 at 9 p.m. ET. Tune in to "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
