Tina Turner Style Evolution: Why The Legendary Singer Is 'Simply The Best' (PHOTOS)

...and they involve a whole lotta leg.

Even in the face of adversity, Tina Turner always managed to shine in the spotlight with a big smile, big hair and a big voice. The Nutbush, Tennessee native got her first taste of stardom in the mid-1950s when she joined former husband Ike Turner's band. She introduced an effortless rawness to soul music with records like "A Fool In Love," "I Idolize You" and "It's Gonna Work Out Fine." But as Tina's solo star started to take off, fans would zoom in on her sex appeal thanks to that showgirl style.

While Tina later traded in her blues card to become The Queen of Rock and Roll, one thing that remained was her love for leg-baring numbers. From sequined minidresses to leather miniskirts to glitzy jumpsuits, we believe she's done enough rollin' on the river to show off her gorgeous gams.

As Turner celebrates her 73rd birthday on Monday (November 26th), we're taking a look back at the music icon's style over the years. Vote on all her looks in the slideshow below.
