Apple, which rarely puts its über-popular gadgets on sale, did not roll back prices in honor of Cyber Monday, much to the chagrin of bargain hunters. But the Cupertino-based giant isn't completely ignoring the biggest online shopping day of the year: It's offering free shipping on all products purchased online for the holiday season.

Starting Nov. 26 and lasting until Dec. 21 in the U.S., Apple will ship for free any product purchased for any price on Apple's website or through the Apple Store app, according to an email sent to customers.

However, this free shipping deal isn't that different from what Apple usually offers online customers. Normally, the company gives free shipping on all orders over $50 -- no matter the time of year. Almost all Apple's electronics are priced over $50 to begin with, so many customers already enjoyed free shipping before Cyber Monday.

This year's free shipping deal is the same one Apple offered last year for Cyber Monday. Apple didn't knock down prices on gadgets or accessories for last year's Cyber Monday, either.

If you were hoping to catch Apple's big annual sale, you've already missed it. The company puts select items on sale on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving in the U.S. For this year's event, Apple discounted iPads, iPods and MacBooks (but not iPhones).
