'Cool Things To Find' Parodies 'Dumb Ways To Die' PSA With Spoof Starring Mars Rover (VIDEO)

WATCH: Mars Rover's Delightful 'Dumb Ways To Die' Parody

Your lost socks? They're on Mars -- along with the missing Nixon tapes and Amelia Earhart.

Or at least that's according to "Cool Things to Find," a delightful Mars-based parody of "Dumb Ways to Die" made by Cinesaurus, a Seattle-based video and animation team.

While that original video was actually a public service announcement by the Australian Metro warning children of (what else?) dumb ways to die, the Cinesaurus parody features NASA's latest Mars rover Curiosity.

Among Curiosity's adventures on Mars, according to the spoof: an encounter with NASA's (now-defunct) rover Spirit, the discovery of microbial life, and -- hilariously -- Curiosity also kills a cat.

According to Cinesaurus's YouTube page, the video's creators "are huge fans of NASA and everything they are doing here on Earth, in space and on Mars." They're also hoping the video will drum up support for the space agency. "We like to do anything we can to help support NASA and think you should too! Write to your Senator, call them, make sure they don't cut any more of their budget."
