Rider Strong Talks 'Girl Meets World' And Shawn Hunter's Possible Return

Will Shawn Hunter Return For 'Girl Meets World'?

Could "Girl Meets World" mean the return of bad boy Shawn Hunter? It doesn't seem likely.

"I am extremely happy for Ben and Danielle to be able to continue the story," Rider Strong, who played Shawn for seven years, wrote on his website. "At this point, I have no official involvement in 'Girl Meets World.' There might be a chance to see some of the BMW cast in a guest spot, and I think it would be nice to find out where our characters have been all these years."

"Girl Meet World," a spinoff of the '90s-era beloved TV show "Boy Meets World," will center on Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga's (Danielle Fishel) 13-year-old daughter Riley, with Cory stepping into the role of a high school history teacher.

"'GMW' is a new show," she wrote. "It isn't 'BMW' brought back to life but in current day ... There were only a few of you but I know why you don’t want 'GMW' to happen and I appreciate that 'BMW' meant enough to you that you don’t want to see its legacy tarnished. I can assure you, we don’t want that either."

Do you want Shawn to appear on "Girl Meets World"? Sound off in the comments.
