'Gaslighting' is a form of verbal abuse where false information is given to a partner to make them doubt their own memory. Guest Natalie P. talked about her own experience with "gaslighting" with host Nancy Redd on HuffPost Live on Thursday.
"In the case of my partner, he basically accused me of starting a fight and yelling at him, and throwing open the curtains...
And I stopped him and said, if you recall there were no curtains on that wall to begin with," she said. "He knew he was caught out in the lie."
Once Natalie P. wrote about gaslighting, she began to hear from other women who had experienced it.
"It's just a classic, classic behavior," she said. "They're starting to see these behaviors that nobody explained to them before."
