What's The Best Sitcom Ever? 'Seinfeld,' According To A '60 Minutes'/'Vanity Fair' Poll

The Greatest Sitcom Of All Time Is...

Truly hilarious shows are few and far between, but according to a poll, "Seinfeld" is the best sitcom ever.

In December's "60 Minutes"/"Vanity Fair" poll, viewers voted "Seinfeld" -- which followed the Manhattan misadventures of Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld), Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and George (Jason Alexander) for eight years -- as the best sitcom ever. "The Honeymooners" came in second with 23 percent, and 16 percent of voters favored "Friends."

"The Mary Tyler Moore Show" came in near the bottom of the poll with six percent, while NBC's "30 Rock" scored a measly five percent.

The recognition of "Seinfeld" doesn't come as much of a surprise. The show's legacy continues on with "Seinfeld" creator Larry David's HBO series "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and Louis-Dreyfus also starring on the network's comedy "Veep."

Many of the actresses who played Jerry's girlfriends on the show have gone on to make big names for themselves both in film and TV. Click through our slideshow below to see where the actresses are now.
