Robert Castoro lost his mother to cancer, and then was diagnosed with the disease himself. He decided to send a message to the world with his haircut, as he told HuffPost Live host Alicia Menendez Friday.
Castoro had "F*** Cancer" shaved into the back of his head, and said, "I can't even tell you how many people stopped me on the side of the street in Manhattan to take a picture of it."
Castoro survived his battle with cancer after extensive treatment.
"I can wake up every day and say that I beat cancer," he said. "I mean how many people can say that? It just makes your day worthwhile."
