Julianne Moore is known for two things: her incredible acting chops and her fiery red locks. The North Carolina native got her start on the soap opera "As the World Turns" in the early 1980s, and has since blossomed into one of Hollywood's most talented and beautiful leading ladies. (Her major roles have been in big blockbuster hits like "The Big Lebowski," "Magnolia" and "Crazy, Stupid Love.") When she's not raising her kids, spending time with film director husband Bart Freundlich or winning Emmy awards, Moore is wowing on the red carpet. Always one to pick looks that are subtly sexy, she is celebrated for her sophisticated ensembles and refined taste (it's not surprise her Emmy Awards dress landed her on our best dressed of 2012 list).
In this 1985 photo we see a much younger movie star. Everything about this picture screams another decade -- especially her oversized sweater. Although we won't be feathering our bangs anytime soon, we do love Julianne's soft and natural makeup which really highlights her flawless complexion. Maybe it's time to break out the face powder?
