Naomi Campbell To Give Tyra Banks A Run For Her Money With 'The Face'

Neither Tyra Banks nor Naomi Campbell has made a secret of their complicated history, but now these first ladies of fashion are taking their ongoing battle off the catwalk and onto TV, as Naomi prepares to debut her new model-themed reality show, "The Face."

"Naomi's show is more like 'The Voice' than 'America's Next Top Model,'" one insider tells me. "However, that hasn't stopped Tyra from making it clear, anyone that appears on Naomi's show will not be welcome on her show."

Complicating matters, Naomi, Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha will be joined on "The Face" by host Nigel Barker. Tyra famously fired Nigel as a judge on "America's Next Top Model" last year after 17 show seasons as ratings declined.

"Naomi is in a great place. She's happy and really looking forward to the debut of the show. Unlike other TV models, she's still a working model, walking the runway. No one has the fashion connections she has, and she can’t wait to have her friends be part of the show," a friend of Naomi's tells The Huffington Post. "She doesn't focus on what Tyra does. She is focused on what she does and how to make her show great."

"The Face" debuts in February on Oxygen. A spokesperson for "Top Model" declined to comment, and Tyra's onetime personal publicist says they are no longer working together.
