'Deals From The Darkside': Medieval Torture Tongs Were Heated Up, Used On Male Genitalia (VIDEO)

"Deals from the Darkside" went to a very dark place indeed. This week, Steve Santini came across a pair of "crocodile tongs" dating back to medieval times. The device was traditionally used for torture, but a very specific kind of torture.

"This is designed for use against male genitalia," an expert explained, to Steve's horror. It was further explained that the tongs were generally heated over a fire, to make the experience even more horrific.

And just in case the mind's eye wasn't capable of painting a picture terrifying enough, the guys decided to test a similar pair of tongs on a raw chicken. For complete authenticity, they heated them up as well. It certainly made the picture that much clearer, though was it really necessary to do so?

The good news for Steve was that the crocodile tongs were estimated to be worth about $6,000 today.
