Gun Control Reactions In Devastating Connecticut School Shooting Aftermath

In what is becoming a far too common experience, the nation's eyes are trained on Newtown, Connecticut, after news of a mass shooting in an elementary school came to light Friday afternoon. A man opened fire in Sandy Hook Elementary School, killing 20 children and six adults; the gunman was found dead.

In a measured statement delivered earlier this afternoon, a White House spokesman said "today's not the day" for a debate on gun control policy. But we couldn't disagree more -- especially as these events seem to become more commonplace in our society than they were years ago.

Huff/Post50 asked our Facebook fans how their thoughts on gun control had changed since they were younger, and a wave of differing opinions poured in. See our slideshow below to read them all, and let us know how your thoughts on gun control have changed over the years.
