Don't you wish you worked for Lucasfilm?
On Thursday, a Reddit user claiming to be an employee of Lucasfilm posted a photo of the holiday bonus that was given to the company's more than 2,000 employees: a high-tech goodie bag that includes a 32-gigabyte unlocked iPhone 5, a 32-gigabyte 3G-enabled iPad, a thank you card and a Lucasfilm pillow.
The Huffington Post reached out to Lucasfilm, and a representative confirmed that the photo of the bonus items is authentic, adding that it was Kathleen Kennedy and George Lucas' way of saying thanks to their employees.
The estimated retail value of the iPad and iPhone alone is more than $1,600, according to Amazon.
Lucasfilm was bought by Disney in October, setting the stage for releases of new "Star Wars" films. In a conference call, Disney confirmed that special effects studios Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound were included in the transaction, the Verge reported at the time.
