Can Computers Recognise Storylines And Write Music?

There is little doubting that when it comes to brute-force number-crunching computers can easily out-lift humans.

They are not too bad at strategy either. A computer controversially beat a chess world champion more than 15 years ago, though that one is still being argued over.

But what about in the arts? Can computers really be creative or maybe even interpret a TV drama? And can computers write?
