Fed Probe Centers On Library IT Contracts

Feds Probing Detroit Library Administrator

Detroit -- A search warrant from a Detroit Public Library raid last month shows that a federal grand jury is investigating the library and that it is focused on a top administrator.

Federal agents demanded hordes of information involving Tim Cromer, the library's chief administrative officer, and his ties to two library technology contractors, as well as photos of him with the firms' officers and "records of gifts or payments to current or former employees" of the library since 2007, according to documents obtained by The News.
