Bowl Games Schedule 2012-2013: Which Is The Worst Bowl Game Matchup?

BRACKET: Which Bowl Game Is The Worst?

The holidays can be a time of excess for many. For this over-served segment of society, December brings too much food, too much drink and too much tinsel. Many college football fans will also agree that December brings too many bowl games.

While it's hard to argue against the Notre Dame vs. Alabama title tilt produced by the BCS this time around, many of the 34 matchups leading up to it aren't exactly appointment television (even if they still draw better than college basketball). There are 28 teams that accepted bowl bids this season with seven or fewer wins to their credit. A dozen of those teams arrive to receive their bowl game goody bags with a 6-6 record. There is even a 6-7 team participating in a bowl game -- and facing off, oddly enough, against the preseason No. 1.

While the thrilling finish to the New Mexico Bowl proves that any game can provide excitement, some of them sure don't inspire much of it before kickoff. Here are some are some of the lackluster college football bowl matchups this season (Sorry, we know there are more than eight). Which do you think is the least compelling?
