Juan Alberto Galviz Arrested In Suspicion Of Encasing A Man In Concrete (UPDATE)

Police believe a man whose body was found encased in concrete inside a heating and air conditioning business was murdered by an associate.

Juan Alberto Galviz, 45, was arrested Sunday in connection with the death, which detectives say was the result of a "feud" with the victim, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Galviz is being held in leiu of $1,007,500 bail. The business, Coleman Luxaire, is in Santa Fe Springs, and a canine unit found the body after police received a tip about a possible murder, the Examiner reports.

Tracy Smothers, an employee at Rosemead Oil Products across from Coleman Luxaire, has worked in the area for five years.

"I usually see the owner and his kids playing soccer outside of the business," Smothers said to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

Police are still trying to identify the victim.

UPDATE: Galviz, whose real name is actually Juan Manuel Ramirez, was charged Wednesday with fatally shooting on Dec. 23 a man who he later allegedly encased in concrete, according to a statement the LA County DA's office sent to HuffPost. The suspect is scheduled to arraigned at the LA Superior Court in Whittier sometime Wednesday after 1:30p.m.

He is charged with one count of murder and, if convicted, could face up to life in prison.
