AnnaSophia Robb has some pretty big shoes to fill. The actress, who will star in The CW's upcoming series "The Carrie Diaries," reprises the role of Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker for over eight years. But the fashion icon in-the-making seems ready to step up: With her stellar style, signature Carrie hair, and acting chops, the 19-year-old Teen Vogue cover girl is positioning herself to become the next big thing. In an interview for the February 2013 issue of the magazine, AnnaSophia opens up about the new series, boy trouble, and how she got the part of a lifetime.
In "The Carrie Diaries," premiering on The CW on January 14, Robb will play a pre-journalist high school-aged Carrie Bradshaw in the 1980s -- complete with signature '80s fashion (click here for a sneak peak!). The show is a prequel to the 2000s pop culture phenom, "Sex And The City," starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon as four single women and best friends living in Manhattan.
"They told me that I got the part because I did a little chicken dance at the end of my audition, after they asked me about my prom," Robb laughs. "I've got rhythm, but not the moves to go with it, and I guess they liked that I wasn't afraid to be goofy."
But like Carrie, Robb has her own grips about guys and relationships. The petite blonde star claims that even in New York City, she "never" gets hit on.
"Everyone always says that guys are intimidated by me, but I seriously doubt it," Robb tells Teen Vogue. "I mean, I'm five-foot-nothing! I think I must make a stank face."
