Bob Schieffer seemed fairly unenthused on "CBS This Morning" on Friday.
Speaking to co-host Norah O'Donnell, Schieffer weighed in on the 113th Congress convening for its first session on Thursday.
"Excuse me for not being overly optimistic this morning, but I mean, I was listening to this rhetoric yesterday, all these people up on Capitol Hill talking about how they're all going to come together--well you know they're not. We all know they're not," Schieffer said. "I think what is going to happen here is we're just going to press the rewind button. And we're just going to see the same thing, the same timing, down to the last minute of the last hour of the last day."
He then joked that now would be a good time to take a vacation since he doesn't think that anything will get done on Capitol Hill within the next two months.
