What a coincidence!
Just days after former "The Hills" stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt made their British debut as the American housemates on the U.K. reality show "Celebrity Big Brother," someone has claimed to have stolen Pratt's phone and is tweeting "intimate photos" of his wife.
First the "hacker" tried to make it seem as though Pratt was tweeting while on the live camera feed on the reality show, before admitting he wasn't actually Pratt.
"Well, dears, it appears people suspect I am not the real Mr. Pratt. If that were so, then I would be a man with a phone to sell," he tweeted.
Whoever is claiming to have the reality star's phone proceeded to post personal, but innocent, photos of Montag to the Twitter account. So far, photos of the 26-year-old doing laundry, showing off her mani/pedi and posing next to a promo cutout for the film "The Hobbit" have been posted.
Now the "hacker" is demanding that tabloid magazines pay up if they want to see more scandalous contents of Pratt's phone.
We have to say that we find it awfully suspicious that a hacker would threaten to leak the contents of Pratt's phone just as the couple managed to add two more minutes to their 15 minutes of fame. After all, this is the couple who admitted their divorce was a publicity stunt.
"Divorcing was the only way to keep Heidi's career going because everyone hated me so much. Look at Sandra Bullock - her divorce from Jesse James was the best thing to happen to her image," Pratt told Life & Style in 2010.
Given that the couple is still broke and living with Pratt's parents, we wouldn't put anything past them.
