Michael Morrison Named Executive Producer Of 'Katie'

'Katie' Gets New Boss

Michael Morrison started his job as executive producer of "Katie" on Monday, according to The New York Times.

Morrison, formerly executive producer of "The Martha Stewart Show," is taking over for Jeff Zucker, who was recently named president of CNN. A spokeswoman for "Katie" confirmed Morrison's new role to The Times on Monday.

Earlier in December, it was reported that he was "closing a deal" with Couric. Disney-ABC reportedly began meeting potential candidates for the job in October, and stepped up the search when Zucker's new role at CNN was announced in November.
