If you go to a large state university with 30,000 students, which accounts for half of the town's population, a bigger school may seem unimaginable. Nevertheless it turns out for-profit colleges have the highest enrollment in the country.
The University of Phoenix and Ashford University are at the top of a ranking by StateUniversity.com of the highest enrollments. Though it's true their "online campuses" count, it's not precisely the same as The Ohio State University's 56,867 students in Columbus.
