Larry Miller Brain Injury: Actor Recovers After Life-Threatening Fall

Comedic actor Larry Miller has recovered after suffering from a life-threatening brain injury as a result of falling on a sidewalk and hitting the back of his head last April.

The 58-year-old Miller, best known for his roles in Christopher Guest's mockumentaries and on popular TV shows like "Seinfeld" and "Boston Legal," entered a coma and was placed on life support at UCLA Medical Center for one month following the accident. Once he regained consciousness, Miller had to work to regain basic cognitive functions, according to People.

"He was hovering between life and death," the actor's spokesman, Michael Hansen, told People. "It's a miracle he woke up. ... He's lucky to be alive."

Miller, who had to work on brain connectivity issues, is expected to make a full recovery. He plans to resume his podcast series "This Week With Larry Miller" on Jan. 9.

"I'm very thankful to have recovered from a traumatic brain injury so quickly," Miller told People.
