Ann Romney Turns Down 'Dancing With The Stars'

Dancing With Ann Romney? Not quite.

Despite her love of the ABC reality competition series "Dancing With The Stars," TMZ reports that Ann Romney has turned down the opportunity to compete on the show's upcoming season.

"Ann Romney was approached, but she declined," Romney's rep reportedly told TMZ. "She will not be appearing on 'Dancing with the Stars.'"

The wife of former presidential candidate Mitt Romney showed up at the "Dancing With The Stars" finale last year, sparking rumors that she would join the show.

Romney's decision to say no to the series may be related to MS, the inflammatory disease she's been battling for 14 years.

"I was very, very weak and very much worried about my life, thinking I was going to be in a wheelchair as well," Romney remembered of her diagnosis. Luckily, her love of horses helped Romney overcome her fear. "Turned to horses, my life has been dramatically different. They gave me the energy, the passion to get out of bed when I was so sick that I didn't think I'd ever want to get out of bed."

"Dancing With The Stars" returns to ABC on March 18.
