Celebrities are accustomed to getting primped and preened for award show red carpets -- you can imagine how epically embarrassing a misstep can be in front of all those cameras. The after-parties, on the other hand, give stars a chance to let loose and relax... and fall prey to the pesky wardrobe malfunction.
Julianne Hough learned her lesson last night when she turned up to InStyle's Golden Globes party in a delicate Jenny Packham gown (she walked the Globes' red carpet in a Monique Lhullier gown, ICYMI). After letting her guard down and hitting the dance floor, however, the "Footloose" actress completely ripped her dress in two places.
From the looks of it, we're thinking she was getting low and the silk fabric just gave out. (No word on whether or not Ryan Seacrest got low as well.) Luckily, Julianne chronicled the whole thing on her Twitter account, serving as a cautionary tale to fellow celebs. These dresses aren't made to withstand hard partying, people!
What do you think of Julianne Hough's dancing-induced malfunction? Has this ever happened to you?

Ummm again... I love to dance regardless of how expensive a dress may be... You can't hold me down!!! :) instagr.am/p/Udpboaifw4/
