Jennifer Lopez has had a tough run when it comes to awards. In the decades that she has been singing and acting, Lopez was only nominated for two Grammy awards and never won, and nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in "Selena," but lost to Helen Hunt.
One award that she has won multiple times is the Golden Raspberry Award, or Razzie, for the worst performances of the year. But now, Lopez is setting her sights on something slightly more prestigious.
In a recent interview with E!, Lopez said she would like an Academy Award. "I think everybody that has ever taken acting seriously would love to be recognized in that way," she said. "Of course! Why not?"
While J. Lo has bounced back from the debacle that was "Gigli" with parts in lighthearted romcoms such as "The Back-up Plan" and "What to Expect When You're Expecting," her material is far from Oscar-worthy.
Lopez's next role is as a real estate agent in the crime thriller, "Parker," which hits theaters on Jan. 25.
