Use A Wood Burning Tool To Make A Rustic Wood Sign

Marie Antoinette would love this.

We love the rustic style trend that's been so popular for weddings and entertaining recently. It's charming and inviting, and perfect for cozy winter party decor. So when we saw this adorable wood burning craft on a slice of natural wood by The Sweetest Occasion's guest blogger Eden from Sugar And Charm, we just had to share.

Her sign proclaims a phrase we love, "eat cake," but a similar one could be used to greet guests or to let them know what's on the menu. And if you've never used a wood burning tool before, this is the perfect project to give it a spin. Eden shows how to print out the words of our choice in a pretty font, and transfer them onto the wood slab. Then the rest is easy!

Head over to The Sweetest Occasion for the full tutorial, and check out our other craft ideas in the slideshow below.
