Selena Gomez is about to graduate from cutesy Disney star to bikini-clad bank robber.
Seriously. She stars in the (highly?) anticipated movie "Spring Breakers," in which she, Ashley Benson and a blonde Vanessa Hudgens rob a bank and get in some trouble with James Franco, who you know is a villian because he's got cornrows. In any event, the role is a big step for Gomez, who is in the process of shedding her sweet persona in favor of an edgier vibe.
The 20-year-old star accomplishes that and more with her new Nylon cover. Posing for the February issue, Gomez wears a "shredded" basket-weave jersey from Jeremy Scott's Spring/Summer 2013 collection for Adidas with a string bikini poking out underneath.
MTV Style says, "WOWOWOW this is a look we could get used to." We say this is one outfit we never want to see ever again.
Selena, we know you have better taste than that. As you continue this journey into adulthood, can you promise no more side-cutout jerseys? Thanks.
See, not all her fashion is bad...
