There are few celebrities as endearing and vivacious as Zooey Deschanel. The "New Girl" star, known for her acting and singing skills, got her start on the big screen and later had her breakout role in Cameron Crowe's cult film, "Almost Famous." If the question, "Can women be funny?" has ever been asked, Zooey Deschanel provides a crystal clear answer -- absolutely. Her quirky charm, ladylike style and raw talent have made this young starlet a Hollywood favorite.
This 2002 photo of Deschanel during the Sundance Film Festival shows the actress looking quite sophisticated (and a little bit like Jackie O. with those huge sunnies). In true Zooey style, the then 22-year-old was spotted in a very feminine and put-together look. Her topper and scarf match perfectly while her short, dark 'do further emphasizes that porcelain complexion she has come to be known for.
