Many parents have skeletons in their closets, but it won't be so easy for actress Drew Barrymore to hide her very public past from her newborn daughter, Olive, once the child gets older.

In an upcoming episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter," Oprah asks Barrymore what will happen when daughter Olive grows up and Googles her famous mother's name.

"She will read everything about her mom: drugs and partying, and bisexuality, the early marriages, flashing David Letterman on national TV," Oprah says. "What are you going to tell her about who you once were? What will be the context for those stories?"

"I will absolutely instill in her that you cannot be ashamed of the journey that it took to get where you are, if you are proud of yourself," Barrymore tells Oprah.

"I will also try to instill [in] her that I did not have guidance -- and that is why I lived my life that way," Barrymore says. "And although I am proud of it, and I don't want to spend the rest of my life regretting it, there is no option for her to take that path because she has guidance."

Watch the full episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter" Sunday, Jan. 13, at 9 p.m. ET on OWN.
