Tamron Hall On Lance Armstrong: 'I Felt So Sorry For Him' (VIDEO)

Tamron Hall: 'I Was Afraid To Say This On Air'

MSNBC's Tamron Hall said she was scared to reveal something on air but did so anyway.

Hall guest-hosted the "Today" show Friday morning and reacted to Lance Armstrong's highly anticipated interview with Oprah Thursday night. Armstrong admitted to using banned drugs throughout his career.

Hall said, "I was scared to say this on air to be honest with you [but] I was so sad for him. I know what he's done. I know that he's ruined lives ... but I felt so sorry for him." She added, "I thought that if I go on air and say I felt sorry for him, people will kill me on Twitter."

"Why?" co-host Savannah Guthrie asked. "I think it's a human reaction."

"Well he ruined so many lives, and just because these days we say we're sorry, it doesn't disappear," Hall said. "So I was torn."
