Today we honor the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., the iconic civil rights leader known for his non-violent stance. As we simultaneously celebrate our nation's first black president officially beginning his second term in office, King's impact on racial equality and the future of this country are more palpable than ever.
We'd like to revisit the legacy of Dr. King through some of our favorite portraits and little-known facts about the American icon.
