WASHINGTON -- One of the most interesting and unusual celebrations this inaugural season was the first Yoga Ball.
Sunday's event, which brought 150 people to St. Francis Hall in Northeast D.C., featured two hours of yoga led by Faith Hunter, as well as meditation and kirtan, a kind of call and response chanting.

Vegetarian fare came from DC Central Kitchen; music was played by Wynne Paris, Gaura Vani, Angela Blueskies, Gita Krista Zember and Christy Freer.
Some proceeds from the event went towards Off The Mat, Into the World, a program that combines yoga and activism.
