In the midst of promoting her new movie "Parker", Jennifer Lopez took the opportunity to talk about her past and more recent relationship, upcoming projects and how much the comments made by the press affect her.

In an interview with Univision's "El Gordo y la Flaca, “La Diva del Bronx” confessed it was very hurtful to end up her marriage with ex husband Marc Anthony and at the same time film a movie playing a character of a woman who was going through the same process.

"I remember very clearly how difficult it was to get up in the morning and go to work. I was very sad and when you have kids you can’t show [your emotions] all the time. But having this role gave me a place to express those feelings. We were going through the same and I felt it very deeply," said Lopez. (See the full interview in Spanish here).

The Puerto Rican singer and actress also assured she doesn’t maintain her dancer and boyfriend Casper Smart financially, as some media have reported in recent months, and that it is painful for her to hear lies being published about them, especially when it comes from the Latino media, who she feels know who she really is well.

"It really bothers me when you feel it's your family, when Latinos say things like that because they know me better after all these years," said Lopez. "I'm not perfect, I go through difficult times as others but always try to be human and a good person... When you say things like that, that ‘I'd pay for a boyfriend’, it hurts me, it hurts me to the heart."

However, beyond what people can say about her, the also entrepreneur ensures that she has learned to find personal happiness above everything, and takes refuge in his family, who knows her better than anyone, and recently grew after the arrival of its newest member: a puppy named "Osito".

It is not the first time that Lopez, 43, defends her new relationship with Smart publicly. In People magazine’s most recent issue, she assured that her new beau is much more than a boy toy and how the relationship has helped her heal and find happiness again after her breakup from the father of her twins.
